INBYTE Café FAQ

Does it work without internet?

Yes. It is built offline-first: sales, tables, stock, recipes, shifts and printing all run on your device and are not affected when the internet drops. When a connection is available, it syncs the digital menu and receives online and QR orders automatically.

Where is my data stored, and is there a backup?

Your data and reports are stored on your own device in a local database with safe writes that protect it from corruption, even in a sudden power cut. You can back it up at any time in one click, to a USB drive or cloud storage.

Does it work on more than one device?

Each cashier device runs on its own, with its own licence, so the till never stops. A branch can be linked to the digital menu and cloud orders platform to receive table (QR) and online orders straight on the cashier screen and the bar and kitchen printers.

Does it track milk, coffee and syrup usage automatically?

Yes. Once you enter a drink's recipe (for example 18 g coffee + 200 ml milk + a paper cup), every sale deducts those amounts from raw-material stock, and add-ons such as oat milk or an extra shot are deducted and costed automatically.

Does it support the thermal printers sold in Egypt?

Yes. It supports standard 80 mm and 58 mm thermal printers over USB or LAN, prints Arabic receipts clearly, and routes tickets automatically between the cashier, bar and kitchen printers.

Can a cashier change prices or delete invoices without the owner knowing?

No. Owner and cashier permissions are fully separate: a cashier cannot change prices or recipes, void invoices or exceed the allowed discount, and every action is recorded with the time and user in an audit log that cannot be deleted.
